In this week's selection of films and shows on Amazon Prime, a pair of brothers scheme to turn their fortunes around by robbing the Charlotte Motor Speedway with the help of their sister and a safecracker that they bust out of prison in time for the Memorial Day Coca-Cola 600 race. Follow the exploits of the Tick as he fights crime around his city with the help of his sidekick. Finally, the International Rescue crew must once again square off against two of their most fearsome enemies, The Mechanic and The Hood.
- Logan Lucky - Jimmy and Clyde Logan plan an elaborate robbery of the Charlotte Motor Speedway in an effort to reverse a curse that they believe is on their family. To pull the robbery off, they recruit a team that includes their sister Mellie and convicted safecracker Joe Bang. Things get complicated when construction plans at the speedway force the brothers to move up their timetable to the much busier Coca-Cola 600 race that takes place on Memorial Day.
- The Tick - Season 1B - Set in a world in which superheroes have been real for some time, an accountant struggling with mental health issues comes to believe that his city is owned by a super villian. While trying to uncover the truth, the accountant finds himself in the company of a hero known as The Tick.
- Thunderbirds Are Go! - Season 4 - International Rescue has returned for a fourth season of dangerous adventure, with the Tracy Brothers back to help people in trouble all around the world in their amazing Thunderbirds. The team must once again go up against The Hood and The Mechanic, who have both escaped from prison in order to continue wreaking havoc across the world.
Looking ahead
This week's new additions to Amazon's Prime Video lineup starts with the adaptation of George Orwell's dystopian novel, 1984, which tells the story of a man named Winston who begins practicing subversive behavior within a totalitarian society. You can also check out Goldeneye, Pierce Brosnan's first installment of the James Bond franchise, in which Bond must square off against a former MI6 agent who plans to attack the UK with an EMP weapons satellite. Finally, in Young Adult, young adult novelist Mavis attempts to get back together with her high school sweetheart by luring him away from his wife and child.
- 1984 - In this adaptation of George Orwell's famous novel, Winston Smith lives a menial existence under the totalitarian government of Oceania. When he meets a mysterious and bold woman named Julia, Winston's life is turned around as he explores his subversive side while trying to hide from prying eyes of the Thought Police. Arrives March 1.
- Goldeneye - In Pierce Brosnan's first outing as James Bond, the British spy must confront a dangerous arms syndicate. Bond goes head to head with a former friend and fellow agent, who plans to use a pair of EMP-emitting weapons satellites in order to exact his revenge against the UK over the deaths of his parents. This is just one of several Bond films making their way to Amazon Prime this month. Arrives March 1.
- Young Adult - Mavis Gary, a young adult novelist and former prom queen, heads back to her hometown in an effort to win back her high school sweetheart, Buddy, after receiving what she thinks is a sign that they are supposed to be together. As she arrives back in town, she reconnects with friends from her high school days, and plots to lure Buddy away from his wife and newborn child. Arrives March 1.
